ACE OF DIAMONDS

A fine re-enactment created by a master painter, Nick’s new limited edition, signed by fighter pilots of the 356th FG, will grace the collection of the finest aviation art portfolio. A new Limited Edition by Nicolas Trudgian pays tribute to the pilots of the 356th Fighter Group based at Martlesham Heath, Suffolk.

ACE OVER NORMANDY

Portrayed are the Mk.IXb Spitfires of 412 Squadron RCAF, one of the 55 Spitfire squadrons that took part in D-Day air operations between 5 and 7 June 1944. Tasked with providing cover, Anthony depicts the squadron at the end of a long day shortly before they finally turn for home after a final sweep to encompass the scene over Utah beach where men and armour from the U.S. VII Corps continue to pour ashore. In the foreground is the Spitfire of Don Laubman who would become one of Canada’s top-scoring Aces.

ACES ON THE WESTERN FRONT - THE GICLEE STUDIO PROOF

The ancient Norman monastery on Mont St. Michel provides the majestic backdrop as a group of Me109s race across the coast returning to their forward base in northern France after a fighter sweep across the English Channel in early 1941.

ACT OF VALOR

After single-handedly destroying a German Mark V Panther tank that had pinned down his unit, First Lieutenant James ‘Maggie’ Megellas leads his platoon from the 3rd Battalion, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne towards the Belgian town of Herresbach, 28 January 1945, as the Battle of the Bulge draws to its conclusion. Minutes before, despite being vastly outnumbered in heavy snow and freezing conditions, the platoon had overwhelmed and completely defeated a large force of German infantry in a ferocious frontal assault, without losing a single man.

ACTION THIS DAY

Flown by many crews, Halifax LV907 ‘Friday 13th’ was typical of the four-engined heavy bombers that formed the backbone of RAF Bomber Command, and served as a symbol to the enduring bravery of the men who flew the ‘heavies’ in action.

ADOLF ‘DOLFO’ GALLAND – Book & Print Portfolio

With the name Robert Taylor remaining unchallenged as the undisputed master of the genre he helped to create, few artists possess Robert’s undisputed personal relationship with the many distinguished combat aviators who flew and fought in those major air campaigns of the twentieth century. One of the most famous is the subject of Robert’s memorable release – Adolf ‘Dolfo’ Galland – unquestionably the greatest fighter leader in the Luftwaffe and one highly respected by his Allied opponents.
