OPERATION HERRICK

Completed in Richard's ?trademark' style of graphite, wash and coloured highlights on toned buff paper, this daring piece serves as a lasting tribute to all members of the armed forces who served during Operation Herrick and for those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

OPS ON HOLD

Heavy snow has settled over the frozen countryside around RAF Fiskerton in Lincolnshire, and for once the Lancasters of 49 Squadron stand quietly idle at their dispersal points, March 1944.

OUT FROM KIRKBY

A strong force of Lancasters from 630 and 57 Squadrons, based at RAF East Kirkby, head out to attack industrial targets in the Ruhr, Autumn 1944. A total of 212 Operations were undertaken from RAF East Kirkby between August 1943 and the end of WWII, all of which were flown by 630 and 57 Squadrons. It is of great historical importance that every print is personally signed by one of the last surviving veterans that flew combat missions from East Kirkby during WWII.

OUT OF THE DRAGONS DEN

One of the last B-25 Mitchell's, having successfully bombed its target, makes its escape towards mainland China. As the navigator sets the new course, their path takes them close to targets hit by other Raiders, dark columns of smoke rising rapidly from the burning oil and carnage below.

PATTON\'S OWN

In his unmistakable style, internationally acclaimed military and aviation artist Richard Taylor has created this historic tribute to a name that has gone down in military folklore. He skilfully depicts a scene in late March 1945 as elements of Patton's Third Army rapidly advance having recently crossed the Rhine River at Oppenheim, south of Mainz. Patton's favoured strategy of speed and aggressive offensive action is clearly visible as fast-moving elements of the U.S. 6th Armoured Division launch a blistering attack on German infantry retreating east towards Frankfurt and ever deeper into the heartland of Hitler's failing Reich. One further nail had been embedded in the Nazi coffin.

PERFECT TIMING

Faithfully reproduced as high-quality giclée fine art prints, only NINETEEN copies of this memorable edition are available worldwide representing the nineteen Lancaster crews who took part in the Dambuster Raids.

PRE-FLIGHT BRIEFING

Completed a number of years ago in Richard's 'trademark' style of graphite, wash and coloured highlights, over that time two highly-regarded World War Two veterans have personally signed and authenticated the edition, each having flown the amazing Mosquito in combat during the war.
