DEVOTION TO DUTY

A Lancaster from 61 Sqn, heavily damaged by German night-fighter attacks, heads to Dusseldorf during a bombing mission on the night of 3 November 1943. Although badly wounded, pilot Bill Reid and his crew pressed on to bomb their target before returning home. For his courage and devotion to duty Reid was awarded the Victoria Cross.

DUAL VICTORY

Richard Taylor brings to life a spectacular dogfight over Eisenach on 24 March 1945 when the doughty Clyde East, returning from a recce over Schweinfurt and with photos already in the can, takes on a group of six Me109’s.

EAGLES WINGS

Richard Taylor’s superb masterwork portrays the iconic Bf109 at a time when this remarkable fighter reigned supreme – the summer of 1940. With Poland long crushed and the Battle of France now over, the Battle of Britain has begun. Yet amidst the fury of war, Richard has once again managed to convey the tranquillity of the French countryside as a pair of Bf109s prepare to touch down at a forward airfield.
