NEVER IN THE FIELD OF HUMAN CONFLICT...

The historical importance of this extremely limited edition is highlighted by the addition of rare ORIGINAL autographs within the conservation matting, including the former British Prime Minister and a further twenty highly-regarded pilots who flew Spitfires or Hurricanes during that long summer of 1940. Also included in each composition are museum-quality reproduction RAF Wings and a fragment of sandstone recovered from the Houses of Parliament following severe damage during 'The Blitz' - Germany's relentless bombing campaign.

NICOLSON VC

Since 1975 the Military Gallery, Richard's exclusive publisher, has been signing with and collecting original autographs of the very men who took part in the battle. This is however, the very first time the Military Gallery have ever offered Nicolson's signature. He has become possibly the most famous of all pilots to take part in the Battle of Britain and having passed away in May 1945, it's easy to understand why his autograph is so hard to come by and this quantity has taken a number of years to source.
