After completing his bombing attack Warrant Officer Thomas 'Lucky' Carter flying his distinctive P-47 'Pistol Packin' Mamma', engages Nakajima Ki-43 Oscars and Ki-44 Tojo's along with other Thunderbolts of the unit.
 

 

THE CALM BEFORE THE STORM

In tribute to all those who lost their lives at Pearl Harbor on that infamous day Robert Taylor has created his poignant new landmark painting. The Arizona has since become the focal point for the memorial at Pearl Harbor and this moving piece portrays this proud ship as those who survived would surely like to remember her - in all her glory prior to the attack.

THE SLEEPING GIANT AWAKES

Richard Taylor's painting depicts the Enterprise approaching Ford Island and the smoldering ruins that had been the Pacific Fleet. Ships still burn and the thick smoke hangs in the air as the mighty carrier moves slowly through the outer channel and ever alert F4F-3A Wildcats of VF-6 fly an overhead patrol. Throughout the night the carrier will refuel and re-arm, and at dawn she will return to sea with a steel resolve and a new mission..........to avenge Pearl Harbor.

DAY OF INFAMY

On the morning of Sunday 7 December 1941 the Japanese launched their infamous attack on Pearl Harbor. Surprise was complete; within a few terrifying minutes, bombs and torpedoes had damaged or destroyed much of the US Pacific Fleet peacefully at anchor, and almost all of the fighters on the ground. But as an Aichi D-3A bomber targets the battleship California, a lone P-40 has managed to get airborne in the chaos to engage the enemy.
 

 

D-DAY DROP 'STICK 21'

At 23.45 on the night of 5 June 1944, the 101st Airborne's most legendary unit of combat paratroopers - the notorious 'Filthy Thirteen' - jumped into France near the village of Sainte Mère Église, in the final hours before the D-Day landings.
