FIGHTER SUPPORT - Book & Print Portfolio

World famous artist Robert Taylor takes up the story in FIGHTER SUPPORT, a magnificent pencil study of the Bf109 during the latter stages of the Battle of Britain. Led by their Kommodore, Major Adolf Galland, the Bf109s of JG26 climb across the Channel coast ready to provide yet another close escort to a large formation of Luftwaffe bombers heading towards London.

FIGHTING RED TAILS

With their distinctive red tails, P-51 Mustangs of the 332nd Fighter Group - the famed Tuskegee Airmen, climb to operational height as B17 Fortresses from the 483rd Bomb Group manoeuvre into formation at the start of another long and dangerous mission over Germany, Oct 1944. A welcome sight for the Fortress crews, the renowned all-black Tuskegee pilots were credited for never losing an escorted bomber to enemy aircraft.

This highly-detailed piece shows 'Dreadnought' battleships from the Royal Navy Grand Fleet opening fire on warships from the German High Seas Fleet during the evening fleet action of the Battle of Jutland, 31 May 1916.

With their Allison engines screaming at full throttle, AVG Aces Tommy Haywood and Robert Smith, lead the charge as the Hell's Angels leave a trail of havoc and destruction behind them.
